A Zempléni-hegységben lévő tengerszem

Photos taken at the Megyer-Hegyi mountain pool that is situated between the cities of Sarospatak and Satoraljaujhely - both in county of Borsod-Abauj-Zemplen, Hungary. This mountain pool has been named as Hungary's finest natural beauty spot, however it is man-made as it was once used as a soft-rock mine. The mine was shut down from it's processes in 1907 and since then the place was left for the nature, that took a good care of it. As the time went on, the place got filled up with all the rain-water streaming down the hill, creating this stunning mountain-pool. In 1997 it was named as Hunary's number one beauty spot. Pictured: An exlorer /Tibor Balint/ pictured inside his inflatable boat , looking towards the 210 feet tall rockface, surrounded by a beatifully lit, purlple night sky. This picture was taken with a 2.5minute long exposure - having the explorer sitting in the boat still for the whole period of this time.
